Five Red Hawks scored in double figures as Creek Wood rolled over Montgomery Central 88-61 Friday night to celebrate Homecoming. After a tight first half, the Red Hawks exploded for a 19-0 run in the third period to put the Indians away. Freshman Ross Plunkett had a big night with 21 points for Creek Wood. Michael Morgan scored 13, Gabe Cummings added 11, and Ross Cummings and Rollie Plunkett added 10 each. Creek Wood improves to 7-4 in District 11 and remains in third place with a game to go. Having already clinched first place and the top seed for the district tournament, the Lady Red Hawks battled for a 55-48 win over Montgomery Central. Rachel Bell led Creek Wood with 18 points while Bailey Anthony and Lamarra Gordon scored 11 each to keep the Lady Red Hawks perfect in the district at 11-0. Creek Wood hosts Nashville Christian Tuesday in a non-district contest before closing out the regular season Friday hosting Waverly.
