69th House District candidate forum canceled because all candidates not available

Tonight’s scheduled forum featuring the candidates in the 69th District Tennessee House of Representatives race has been canceled because one of the candidates can not participate. Wayne White, the Republican nominee, was forced to withdraw from the forum because his business is delivering generators to Pennsylvania in preparation for this morning’s arrival of Superstorm Sandy. WDKN’s policy is that all candidates must participate in forums to ensure fairness. White, 12-year incumbent Democrat David Shepard and independent candidate Kenneth Buser are seeking the two-year term representing the 69th District, which now consists of the western half of Dickson County, all of Hickman County and a portion of Maury County.
