All 4 local teams advance to regional tournament semifinals tonight, tomorrow

All four Dickson County basketball teams survived the first round of the region tournaments and advance to the semifinals. Creek Wood’s Lady Red Hawks crushed Summit 69-25 Friday night and will face Lewis County at 6:00 tonight at Creek Wood. Dickson County’s Lady Cougars escaped Station Camp 66-56 and face Beech at 6:00 tonight at Beech. Creek Wood’s Red Hawks got past Fairview 84-67 and will battle Spring Hill at 7:30 Tuesday at Creek Wood. Dickson County’s Cougars held off Mount Juliet 73-65 to take on Henry County at 6 pm Tuesday at Beech. The semifinal winners will battle for the region crowns and earn berths in the sectional round Saturday and Monday.
