“An All American Christmas” is the theme for the White Bluff Christmas Parade set for Saturday, Dec. 8. Joe England, a White Bluff resident who was a prisoner of war for 37 months in Korea, will serve as grand marshal and the town is inviting all past and present servicemen and women to participate in the parade. The annual parade will feature lighted entries by beginning at 4:30 pm on Dec. 8. The route begins and ends at William James Middle School, making a loop on Highway 70, Highway 47 and Old Charlotte Road. That morning there will be a pancake breakfast with Santa 7-10 am at the White Bluff Community Center, featuring pictures with Santa and Santa’s Store with inexpensive items for children to do holiday shopping. Following the parade there will be hot chocolate and coffee at the community center as the William James Middle School Choir performs. There is no entry fee for the parade but interested groups are ask to register by calling town hall at 797-3131.
