Bell, Morgan lead Creek Wood to season-opening victories at Columbia

Creek Wood High School rolled to a pair of victories in Columbia Thursday night to open the 2012-13 basketball season. Rachel Bell led the Lady Red Hawks with 33 points and five steals in beating Columbia 52-47. Michael Morgan’s 26 points helped Creek Wood top the Lions 61-45. Dickson Middle’s Lady Dragons remained unbeaten at 4-0 by crushing Kenwood 58-14 Thursday in Clarksville. Emily Beard led the way with 15 points. The Dragons dropped their second straight in a 42-22 loss. Dickson hosts Rossview Monday. Charlotte Middle split a doubleheader at Sycamore with the Tigers winning 45-34 and the Lady Tigers falling 28-14. Charlotte travels to William James Monday night.
