The 3rd annual Bluffstock music and arts festival moves to a new location in White Bluff this year. The 2013 celebration will be 10 am-9 pm Saturday at 1022 Taylor Town Road, in the lot behind the new Red Roof Coffee and Sandwich Shoppe. The first two events were held outside Church Street Commons, which closed in the last year. Bluffstock is a day-long, family friendly event that collects donations for Feed the Bluff, a local organization that assists White Bluff area families throughout the year with food and other donations. Admission to Bluffstock is free but everyone attending is asked to make a donation of a non-perishable food item or household item to help stock the Feed the Bluff supply. Household items can include cleaning supplies or personal hygiene products. Bluffstock 2013 will include a variety of musical performances all day long, starting with a bagpipes presentation at 10:45. There will be food and crafts vendors, children’s activities and more. Bluffstock co-organizer Joanna Swiger estimates about 3,000 people attended last year’s event, about doubling attendance at the first Bluffstock. Parking will be available in the lots of nearby businesses and churches and those attending should bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the outdoor fun.
