Downtown Dickson merchants will be offering trick or treating and a costume contest at the annual BooFest on Saturday. Trick or treating on Main Street will be 5-5:30 pm Saturday followed by a costume contest and parade at Holland Park at 5:45. Ace Diner is providing prizes for the contest that include ice cream for contestants ages 0-6 and 7-12 and a $20 gift certificate for the best costumed family. The Clement Railroad Hotel Museum will be selling hot dogs. Montgomery Bell State Park’s Haunted Group Camp is 6-8 pm Saturday. Tickets are $5 per carload and there are kid friendly and spooky cabins trails. The Harpeth Ridge Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its haunted house 6-9 pm Friday and Saturday at 3660 Highway 49 East. Admission is a donation of two canned foot items. Several area churches also are hosting Trunk or Treats Saturday evening. The Dickson Parks and Recreation Department will host its 9th annual Spooks in the Park on Halloween night at Buckner Park.
