Creek Wood High School saw its football season end with a 41-12 loss at Camden. The Red Hawks lost their final four games in a row to finish 3-7 and out of the TSSAA playoffs. Camden wound up 6-4 overall and 5-3 in District 11-AA and will host Manassas in a first round game in the Class 3A bracket Friday. Camden quarterback Christian Vick rushed for 108 yards including a 74-yard touchdown and passed for 199 yards and two scores. Tre Webster returned a punt 65 yards for a score, rushed for 99 yards including an 84-yard touchdown and caught all five of Vick’s completions, including the two scores. Camden took advantage of three Creek Wood turnovers to lead 29-0 at halftime before Red Hawk quarterback Ian Spence got Creek Wood on the board with a one-yard run in the third period. The Lions added two more scores before Creek Wood closed out the scoring when Spence connected with Kyle Klotz for a 37-yard score. While the Red Hawks miss the playoffs, District 11-AA champion Lewis County and runner up Fairview advance to the postseason while Camden, East Hickman and Hickman County all earn at large berths. Lewis County hosts Fairley, Fairview hosts Harpeth, Hickman County hosts South Gibson, Camden hosts Manassas and East Hickman is at Westmoreland for Friday’s first round. Dickson County’s Cougars also missed the playoffs but District 11-AAA is represented by district champs Ravenwood hosting Cane Ridge, Independence at Rossview and Franklin at Station Camp in the Class 6A brackets.
