Christiana ends Lady Dragons’ 36-game winning streak 43-37 in Oakland tourney

The Dickson Middle School Lady Dragons saw their 36-game winning streak broken Thursday night in a 43-37 loss to Christiana in the Chargers Christmas Invitational in Murfreesboro. Dickson suffered its first loss since the state sectional tournament in February 2011, going undefeated last season and winning the first 15 of this campaign. Kailey Rosenbaum led the Lady Dragons with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Dickson will play Stewart’s Creek in the tournament’s consolation game today at 4 pm at Oakland Middle School. Charlotte Middle School’s Tigers claimed the Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference Tournament championship with a 37-28 victory over Waverly Thursday in White Bluff. The Lady Tigers came up just short of a title as they fell 24-23 to Fairview.
