Dickson County High School senior Holden Foster has committed to play soccer for The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Foster has been a starter at goalkeeper for coach Chris Cardona’s Cougars since his freshman year and helped Dickson County win its first district and region titles last year. The Cougars are currently 5-1-1 on the season, including a stretch of three straight shutouts with Foster in goal. The Sewanee Tigers play in the Southern Athletic Association in NCAA Division III. Dickson County’s game at Summit Thursday was postponed until 2 pm Sunday by rain and the Cougars face Arlington for a 5:30 match today at Independence.
