Cougar wrestlers head to regional duals after another close loss to Clarksville in district

Dickson County High School’s wrestlers are headed to the regional tournament after narrowly losing to Clarksville in the district duals Wednesday. The Wildcats edged the Cougars 33-31 in the finals of the District 14-AAA team tournament. The district title rematch of the two top teams was set up when Clarksville beat Rossview and Dickson County stopped West Creek. By finishing as runner up, the Cougars advance to Friday’s Region 7-AAA Tournament at Clarksville. DCHS will open against Beech while Clarksville will face Hendersonville with the winners battling for the title. The top two teams advance to next week’s state duals championship in Franklin.
