Dickson County and Creek Wood high schools both square off against Eagles teams that are fighting to stay alive in the playoffs chase. Creek Wood heads to Lyles tonight to face the East Hickman Eagles. At 5-2 overall and 3-2 in District 11-AA, the Eagles are currently in the top 32 teams in Class 3A that are qualified for the playoffs. After last week’s overtime loss to Montgomery Central, Creek Wood fell just out of the playoff qualifiers at 35th with a 2-3 district record and 3-4 overall. East Hickman is scoring 29 points per game while giving up 26.6. The Red Hawks average 16.4 points a game and give up 24.1. Game time in Lyles is 7:30 and pregame coverage on the RFC Sports Network starts at 6:30. Dickson County hosts its final home game of the 2013 season with a visit from the Independence Eagles. At 4-3 overall and 2-1 in District 11-AAA, the Eagles are currently in the top 32 qualifiers for the Class 6A playoffs but still have to play Franklin and Brentwood after the Cougars. At 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the district, Dickson County is well out of contention for the playoffs and looking for some positive results to end the season.
