Cougars earn split in first wrestling match of 2012-13 season

Dickson County High School opened its wrestling season by splitting a three-way match Tuesday. Coach Tommy Badon’s Cougars beat Hendersonville 42-27 but narrowly fell to East Literature Magnet School 31-30 at Hendersonville. The Cougars travel to Ravenwood Thursday for a triangular match with the Raptors and Coffee County. Charlotte Middle School’s Lady Tigers rolled over Waverly 30-19 Tuesday night. The Charlotte boys fell in a tight match 27-23. Charlotte hosts East Hickman Thursday while William James is at Cheatham County and Dickson Middle hosts West Creek. Creek Wood hosts Sycamore Thursday and Dickson County basketball is at Henry County Friday.
