Dickson County’s state legislators are scheduled to give their first updates of the new General Assembly session at the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Luncheon Monday, March 4. State Representatives David Shepard and Mary Littleton and state Senator Jim Summerville are scheduled to speak at the noon luncheon at GreyStone Golf Club. The luncheon is $12 and is open to chamber members. The legislators are expected to address Gov. Bill Haslam’s budget proposal as well as other hot topics such as the guns in trunks bill, wine in grocery stores, the reorganization of the Department of Children’s Services, school vouchers and other issues.
