Craig Morgan’s seventh annual trail ride and concert to raise funds for Billy’s Place is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14. The country music singer who resides in Dickson County will be joined by several of his celebrity motocross friends for the exhibition and trail ride in Vanleer starting at 10 am, then be joined on stage by country music friends for an 8 pm concert at The Renaissance Center. Tickets for the seventh annual charity event go on sale Thursday, Aug. 1, at craigmorgan.com. Billy’s Place is a part of the Craig Morgan Dickson County Educational Foundation, which plans to build a temporary housing facility for children who are removed from their homes and placed in foster care due to abuse, neglect or other situations. Registration for the motocross exhibition and celebrity off-road trail ride will begin at 8 am Sept. 14 at Paul Allen’s farm on Bell Hollow Road in Vanleer with the ride to begin at 10:00. Doors at The Renaissance Center will open at 6 pm with the show to start at 8:00. Morgan will be joined by several friends for an intimate acoustic concert before he returns to the stage with his full band for his usual high-energy road show. There also will be live and silent auctions as part of the event. Ticket prices and other advance ticket locations as well as the lineup of motocross and country music celebrities will be announced later. Morgan has raised funds to assist programs at area schools, including new band instruments, through his charity event and over the last four years has raised over $250,000 for Billy’s Place.
