Creek Wood High School cruised to a pair of District 11-AA wins Thursday night over visiting Stewart County. The games were moved from Friday to Thursday because of the threat of winter weather. After a tight first quarter, the Red Hawks blew the game open and rolled to a 62-30 decision. Ross Cummings led Creek Wood with 21 points. The Red Hawks remain in the hunt for a high seed in the district tournament with a 6-3 record. The Lady Red Hawks held on to first place in the district by crushing the Lady Rebels 67-20. Rachel Bell led all scorers with 18 points. Creek Wood improves to 9-0 in the district. Dickson County High School is scheduled to host Clarksville tonight at 6:00 in a big District 10-AAA contest. The Cougars are battling to remain in a first-place tie with Kenwood while the Lady Cougars hope to remain just a game behind Rossview. DCHS travels to Rossview Tuesday and hosts Kenwood next Friday in contests for first place. Dickson County’s wrestlers are scheduled to face Beech today in the Region 7-AAA duals tournament in Clarksville where the Wildcats take on Hendersonville and the winners meet for the title.
