Creek Wood High School heads into its final game of the 2013 football season at Camden tonight looking to break a three-game losing skid that has the Red Hawks out of playoff contention. At 4-3 in District 11-AA and 5-4 overall, Camden is currently qualified for the Class 3A playoffs. The Lions enter their final game with lopsided back-to-back district victories 48-0 over Waverly and 63-32 over Stewart County. By comparison, Creek Wood’s last win was in week five with a 39-25 decision over Stewart County the week after a 28-13 win over Waverly. It was a 28-21 overtime loss to Montgomery Central that started the Red Hawks’ spiral and has them looking at the playoffs from the outside. The Indians are currently clinging to the last spot among the 32 teams qualifying for the playoffs as they take on undefeated Lewis County tonight. Creek Wood at Camden kicks off at 7:30 with coverage on the RFC Sports Network beginning at 6:30. The TSSAA will announce playoff brackets Saturday morning.
