Creek Wood High School senior Rollie Plunkett has signed to play basketball at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee. Plunkett was a leading scorer for the Red Hawks who finished as runner-up in the District 11-AA Tournament before ending a 15-10 season in the Region 6-AA tournament. The Bulldogs finished 25-8 under ninth-year coach Mike Poe and won the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament championship over Bryan College before ending their season with a loss to Grace College in the first round of the NAIA national championship tournament. Founded in 1857 as Athens Female College, the school went co-ed following the Civil War and continues to be affiliated with a conference of the United Methodist Church. It has an enrollment of 1,100 students and a satellite campus in Knoxville.
