DCHS sweeps Northwest; DMS game with New Providence moved to Tuesday

Dickson County High School swept Northwest Friday night to remain in the race for the District 10 lead. The Cougars topped the Vikings 83-46 while the Lady Cougars won 58-41 as Lea Lea Carter scored 20 and Payton Grove added 17. The Cougars keep pace with Northeast and Kenwood, who both won Friday to maintain a three-way tie for first. The Lady Cougars still trail Rossview by a game as the Lady Hawks pounded Springfield to remain undefeated in the district. Dickson County travels to Northeast Tuesday while Creek Wood hosts Cheatham County. Both games can be heard on the RFC Sports Network. Tonight’s scheduled doubleheader between Dickson Middle School and New Providence has been reset for 5:30 pm Tuesday at Melton Self Gym. Charlotte Middle School hosts Stewart County tonight while William James is at Sycamore Tuesday.
