The Dickson Community Clinic is hosting its 2013 Benefit Dinner Tuesday at the Tennsco Community Center. Tickets for the 6 pm event are $50 and the evening includes dinner, entertainment and live and silent auctions. Sponsored by Tennsco and Middle Tennessee Lumber, the dinner benefits the community clinic, a faith-based primary care clinic for the uninsured in Dickson and surrounding counties. The clinic operates out of donated space at Horizon Medical Center. Entertainment will include award-winning singer/songwriter Bernie Nelson and Christian comedian Jeff Allen. The silent auction and live auction with Neal Trice include donated items such as a week in a condo at Marco Island, Florida, a string of fresh-water pearls, a night’s stay at East Hills Bed and Breakfast with dinner at Dale’s Steakhouse and a two-day songwriting mentoring session with Nelson that includes the opportunity to record a song. Nelson’s songs have sold over 25 million copies and been recorded by artists such as Conway Twitty, Kenny Chesney, Wynonna, Randy Travis, Trace Adkins and others. The auction will include an autographed set of hand-written lyrics to his number one song “Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind,” recorded by Confederate Railroad.
