Dickson County schools and extended care programs will be CLOSED Friday, Jan. 25

Due to the continued forecast for poor weather conditions, Dickson County schools and extended care programs will be closed Friday, Jan. 25. Director of Schools Dr. Danny Weeks announced just before 5:30 pm that more systems throughout Middle Tennessee are calling off schools this morning and with the area still under a Winter Weather Advisory until noon Friday he decided to err on the side of caution and close schools for the day. Dickson Central Communications says there have been no reports of travel problems due to sleet or freezing rain overnight and most roads appear to be clear.
