Dickson County High School senior Donta Daniel has committed to play basketball at LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia. Daniel was a defensive standout for the Cougars, who won the District 10 and Region 5 championships and made their first appearance in the state sectional in 15 years. The LaGrange Panthers are coached by DCHS alumnus Kendal Wallace, a two-year starter for former Coach Shelby Rye. In his second season at LaGrange, the Panthers finished 12-12 and lost 88-83 to Greensboro in the first round of the USA South Athletic Conference. In his first season, Wallace was named coach of the year for the former Great South Athletic Conference. Daniel is the son of Sharon and Dwayne Daniel and joins a Panthers squad that loses only two seniors from this year’s roster.
