Dickson County’s non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October remained unchanged from the previous month. The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development reports Dickson County’s unemployment rate remains at 7.2 percent, unchanged from September but still well below the 8.7 percent seen for the same month last year. Just under 1,800 Dickson County residents continue to receive unemployment benefits. Tennessee’s unemployment rate was reported at 8.2 percent in October, as 14 counties reported decreases, 64 counties saw an increase and 17 counties were unchanged. Lincoln County had the state’s lowest rate at 5.1 percent while Scott County remains the highest at 16.4 percent.
