Dickson grabs lopsided wins over Montgomery Central; DCHS, CWHS on the road tonight

Dickson Middle School’s Lady Dragons and Dragons pitched shutouts for large portions of Thursday night’s games against Montgomery Central for a pair of lopsided wins. The Lady Dragons remained unbeaten at 10-0 with a 57-10 win. Dickson jumped ahead 23-0 in the opening quarter as the Lady Indians didn’t get their first basket until halfway through the third period. Emily Beard led the way with 17 points and Cierra Smith added 12 in a game shortened by the mercy rule. The Dragons held the Indians scoreless for the entire second half in securing a 58-7 victory in another mercy rule contest. Dickson outscored the Indians 33-0 after intermission. Jay Lewis led Dickson with 11 points. Charlotte Middle School swept Fairview with the Lady Tigers winning 27-23 and the Tigers getting a 32-26 decision. William James Middle’s Lady Colonels rolled over Waverly 31-11. Dickson travels to Rossview Monday, William James hosts East Hickman and Charlotte is at Hickman County. Tonight, Dickson County High School visits Clarksville and Creek Wood travels to Stewart County. Both doubleheaders begin at 6 pm and can be heard on the RFC Sports Network.
