With the Christmas and New Year’s holidays completed, the Tennessee Highway Patrol will continue its high visibility traffic enforcement with drivers license and sobriety checkpoints scheduled twice a month in Dickson County in January and February. Sgt. J.D. Blackwell of the THP region that includes Dickson County, said drivers license and sobriety checkpoints will be held somewhere in Dickson County on Friday, Jan. 4, Wednesday, Jan. 16, Friday, Feb. 1, and Friday, Feb. 22. The checkpoints are designed to increase visibility and crack down on impaired driving. Funds for the checkpoints come from a grant by the Governor’s Highway Safety Administration.
