Creek Wood High School dropped its third straight Friday night as Fairview rolled to a 49-3 District 11-AA victory. The Yellow Jackets remained unbeaten by using a speedy, multiple-look offense that gashed a Red Hawks squad depleted by injuries. After the Yellow Jackets returned the opening kickoff for a 6-0 lead, Creek Wood’s offense mounted its lone scoring drive that ended with a 31-yard Ian Spence field goal. But Fairview ran away to a 28-3 lead in the first period and a commanding 49-3 lead by intermission. The margin implemented the mercy rule in the second half, which meant a continuous clock. Most of Fairview’s starters saw an early end to the night and neither team scored during the abbreviated second half. Falling to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the district, Creek Wood will look to snap its three-game skid Friday night hosting Waverly.
