With more rain in the forecast, the Clement Railroad Hotel Museum has postponed this week’s Music and Movies in the Park and decided to move Saturday’s 4th annual Southern Ladies Coffee inside. This week’s edition of the free series of live musical performances and a family movie in Holland Park has been postponed to Thursday, May 30, due to the forecast for more rain Friday. Local singer-songwriter Bernie Nelson and Cross Creek Bluegrass Band are scheduled to perform prior to a showing of the Disney animated classic The Lion King. The series of free programs launched three weeks ago and so far every Friday night has been affected by rain, forcing the performances indoors. But since the museum is busy preparing for Saturday’s coffee to be held inside instead of Holland Park, it has forced Music and Movies in the Park to be postponed. The Southern Ladies Coffee is scheduled to honor Edith Mitchell, Mary Buttrey, Peggy Reddon, Margie Davis and Helen Rial 10 am-noon Saturday. The reception area will now be moved inside the museum with the theme Crystal Centennial in observance of this year’s 100th birthday of the Hotel Halbrook. Tickets for the coffee are $10 for museum members and $15 for non-members and there will be free valet parking.
