Former Dickson County High School Principal Ed Littleton will remain in his hometown school system as a teacher. According to the personnel report to be presented to the school board Thursday night, Littleton has been assigned to a teaching position at Dickson Middle School. Littleton resigned after eight years as principal at his alma mater, saying he wants to finish his teaching career back in the classroom. Littleton spent the first 15 years of his career in education as a science teacher before becoming an administrator. Doug Phillips has been named to replace Littleton at DCHS after one year as assistant principal at DMS. Other personnel moves on the report to be presented Thursday night include the retirement of DCHS teacher Christy Tuck, whose husband Kevin left his position as Cougar basketball coach at the end of the season; the resignations of DMS softball coach Quinn Bullington and DMS boys and girls soccer coach David Tidwell and DCHS tennis coaches Eve and Henry Hamilton. Marcus Peters will be named the new soccer coach at DMS; former DMS Principal David Bradford moves to a teaching position at Dickson Elementary and will be the new DCHS tennis coach; Joe Burrows is the new assistant coach with Cougar basketball skipper Jason Tigert; Kelsey Hamilton is the new Lady Dragons basketball coach; and former DMS Principal Dr. Tara Tiller is reassigned from teaching at DMS to a teaching position at Creek Wood High School. The complete list of personnel changes will be presented to the school board at its meeting at 7 pm Thursday.
