A funeral service will be held Monday for Sharon Tucker Hixson, co-owner of the popular Catfish Kitchen on Highway 70 between Dickson and White Bluff. Hixson died Thursday at the age of 63. She and her husband Don are the owners and operators of The Catfish Kitchen, a popular restaurant that draws people from all over the country, is a favorite of several celebrities and has seen its signature catfish sign featured in a couple of music videos. A native of Perry County, Mrs. Hixson was a graduate of Columbia State Community College where she earned her LPN degree. Visitation begins at noon today until the service at 4 pm at the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with burial in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. In addition to her husband of 27 years, she is survived by daughters Tracy Trotter and Kristie Sullivan, mother Nona Whitwell Tucker, three stepsons, William Mark, Ronald Ray and Chris Eugene Hixson, brother Harris Tucker, four grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
