Dickson County High School’s Drama Club is organizing the first Haunting on the Hill as a food drive Thursday night. The evening includes a brief theatrical production to set the mood for Halloween followed by trick or treating in the cafeteria. At 6 pm the Drama Club will present a Reader’s Theatre performance of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” followed by several short monologues and stories appropriate for elementary-aged children. Admission to the performance in the Frances Connelly Auditorium is free for children in costumes or $1 or a donation of an item for the food drive. Various clubs, organizations and athletic teams at DCHS will set up tables for trick or treating in the cafeteria. A ticket is required for admission. The food drive is part of the Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat, the International Thespian Society’s service program.
