The national Celebrate My Drive campaign begins today with a chance for high schools to win grants or a concert with American Idol and Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson. Sponsored by State Farm Insurance, hundreds of high schools across the country are competing for prizes during National Teen Safe Driver Week. From today through Oct. 26, students, parents, faculty and community members can make online commitments to drive safely at celebratemydrive.com. Schools are divided into two categories for enrollments above and below 750 students. A school from each division will win an exclusive concert with Clarkson next spring while 10 schools will win $100,000 grants and 90 schools will receive $25,000 grants. Both Dickson County and Creek Wood high schools are registered in the competition. Supporters can commit once a day per email address during the commitment period. Winners will be announced Nov. 6. Clarkson won the very first season of American Idol in 2002 and has sold over 20 million albums and won two Grammys.
