“Home for the Holidays” is the theme for the Dickson Christmas Parade set for Sunday, Nov. 25. Sponsored by the Downtown Dickson Business Association, the parade will begin at 2 pm at Dickson County High School. The entry fee is $10 through Monday, Nov. 19, and will be $15 after that date. Parade entries are asked not to include Santa Claus and rules also prohibit the throwing of candy or other items from parade vehicles. All-terrain vehicles are not allowed and all horses must have proof of a recent negative Coggins test. Lineup at DCHS will begin at 1 pm and the parade starts at 2:00, following the traditional route down North Charllotte, through downtown on Main Street, cutting over to Church Street and then onto College Street to disband at Dickson Middle School. For parade information or to enter, contact Jeremy Spencer at 446-3311 or Robert Reid at 613-4067. There will be awards for parade entries in several categories.
