The Dickson County Imagination Library’s Breakfast with Santa will be 9-11 am Saturday in the Dickson First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Admission is $5 and includes breakfast sandwiches donated by Odom’s Tennessee Pride and beverages, as well as a visit with Santa Claus, face painting, crafts and cupcake decorating for children. The breakfast also features more than 200 donated gifts in a silent auction. Bids will be accepted until 11:00. Items include dozens of themed gift baskets, tickets to area events and attractions, gift certificates and much more. The breakfast benefits the Imagination Library program that sends free books every month to Dickson County children from birth to five years old. Half the cost of the program is funded through grants from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library agreement with the state’s Books from Birth Foundation. Local committees must raise the remaining half, which board member Phyllis Bradley has said is about $1,500 a month in Dickson County.
