Creek Wood dropped a tough 13-7 decision at Cheatham County Friday night as injuries left the Red Hawks scrambling. The Red Hawks took the early lead with a three-yard run by Kyle Klotz, playing quarterback after starter Ian Spence was forced to fill in at receiver. A big kick return set up Cheatham County to tie the score 7-7 at intermission. Despite numerous injuries, Creek Wood managed to stay even until the Cubs’ Desmond Sweat broke free for a 30-yard touchdown that would decide the game. Both teams evened their records at 1-1. Creek Wood returns to Charlotte Friday to host new District 11-AA opponent Hickman County.
