Ladies up first tonight as region basketball tournaments get under way, boys tomorrow

It’s ladies first as the region basketball tournaments begin tonight. Quarterfinal rounds for the girls begin at 7:00 while the boys will play tomorrow night. In Region 5-AAA, Dickson County’s Lady Cougars will host Station Camp, which finished fourth in the District 9 tournament. In Region 6-AA, Creek Wood’s Lady Red Hawks will host Summit, the fourth-place team from District 12-AA. The Region 5-AAA tournament moves to Beech for the semifinals next week. The Region 6-AA tournament will be at Creek Wood. Tomorrow, the Cougars host Mount Juliet and Red Hawks host Fairview with those games also starting at 7 pm.
