Dickson County High School senior Megan Billingsby has signed to play basketball at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee. Billingsby became a late-season force for Coach Eve Hamilton’s Lady Cougars, including a stretch of four straight double-doubles in the postseason. She was the District 10-AAA Tournament MVP as the Lady Cougars took the title and led DCHS into the semifinals of the Region 5-AAA Tournament before ending a 25-4 campaign. Named for William Jennings Bryan, the famed attorney who came to Dayton for the Scopes trial on teaching evolution in public schools, Bryan College is a non-denominational evangelical Christian college founded in 1930 with a total enrollment of 1,400 students. Cougar senior Caleb Tuck also committed to Bryan last month. The Lady Lions compete in the NAIA’s Appalachian Athletic Conference.
