Lady Cougars face Kenwood tonight for District 10-AAA Tournament crown

Dickson County’s Lady Cougars will battle Kenwood for the District 10-AAA Tournament title tonight in Clarksville. The Lady Cougars topped West Creek 64-48 in Saturday’s semifinal match while fourth-seeded Kenwood upset top-seeded Rossview. Megan Billingsby tallied her second consecutive double-double of the tournament with 19 points and 16 rebounds to go with six assists. The Lady Cougars will battle Kenwood for the championship at Kenwood at 7:30 tonight after Rossview and West Creek meet in the consolation contest. The fourth-seeded Lady Knights upset Rossview Saturday night after the Lady Hawks finished the regular season at 15-1 and took the top seed over Dickson County on a coin flip. In two regular season meetings, Dickson County beat Kenwood by 35 and 18 points. The berth in the district championship means both Dickson County and Kenwood will host opening games of the Region 5 Tournament later this week.
