Dickson County and Creek Wood’s softball teams came up with big district wins Tuesday. Samantha Davenport smashed a home run as the Lady Red Hawks rolled over Waverly 11-0. The Lady Cougars had one of their biggest offensive nights in history in crushing Rossview 25-5. On the baseball side, both local schools dropped district contests. Rossview got four runs in the first inning on the way to a 6-0 win over the Cougars. After a 10-0 win Monday, Montgomery Central completed a sweep of the Red Hawks with a 6-4 win at Creek Wood. Mitch Mersman and Sterling Hobbs scored goals and Holden Foster completed another shutout as Dickson County soccer beat Henry County 2-0. Creek Wood soccer fell to Clarksville Academy 1-0.
