Dickson County’s Lady Cougars are still scheduled to face Riverdale in the first round of the TSSAA state softball tournament at 10:00 this morning in Murfreesboro. While rain interrupted action at the Spring Fling yesterday, most of the scheduled action was completed and in Class AAA softball Clarksville beat Collierville 7-1 and Smyrna knocked off Maryville 2-0. With a chance of rain still in the forecast today, officials will wait until the last possible minute before delaying any games. Dickson County-Riverdale and Munford-Seymour complete the first round today with the losers scheduled to meet at 4 pm and the winners at 6 pm, weather permitting. Also today, Creek Wood freshmen Riley Kilian is scheduled to run in the Class A/AA girls’ 3200-meter final at 5:20 at Middle Tennessee State University. Pregame coverage of Lady Cougars and Lady Warriors action is scheduled for 9:45 this morning.
