Lady Red Hawks fall in district volleyball tourney finals, advance to region tourney

Creek Wood High School’s Lady Red Hawks fell to Harpeth in the district volleyball tournament Tuesday but will advance to next week’s regional competition. The Lady Indians rolled over Creek Wood in three sets to win the district title and the right to host a first-round game in the region. By finishing as runners up, the Lady Red Hawks will be on the road for regional action. Harpeth remained unbeaten in district play after entering the tournament as the top seed while Creek Wood was seeded number two. The Lady Red Hawks advanced to the title game by beating Cheatham County in the semifinals. Kelsey Ethridge and Kayla Jackson were named to the All-Tournament Team for Creek Wood. Region tournament action begins Tuesday.
