Creek Wood’s Lady Red Hawks suffered their first loss of the basketball season Saturday night in a non-district contest at Summertown. The Lady Eagles topped Creek Wood 46-38 Saturday night after the Lady Red Hawks had reeled off 10 straight wins to open the season and be ranked in the Midstate. Just the night before, Creek Wood had secured victory number 10 by beating Montgomery Central 43-38. The Red Hawks pulled off back-to-back wins, topping Montgomery Central 78-47 Friday and beating Summertown 65-61 Saturday. Dickson County’s Cougars suffered their first District 10 loss Friday night 71-60 at Kenwood. The Knights took a 24-12 lead in the opening period and held on to end the Cougars’ nine-game winning streak. JeQuan Lewis led DCHS with 20 points. Dickson County’s Lady Cougars rebounded from their first loss of the season earlier in the week to beat Kenwood 72-37 as Payton Grove scored 24. Creek Wood hosts Fairview at 6:30 tonight on WDKN, The One FM and wdkn.com, while Dickson County will host Waverly Friday.
