Mersman, Daniel to play in TN-KY Border Bowl Saturday in Williamsburg

Dickson County High School seniors Mitch Mersman and Demonta Daniel have been selected to play in tomorrow’s 6th annual National Guard Border Bowl, an all-star game between Kentucky and Tennessee high school seniors. The Border Bowl is set for 12 pm Saturday at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tennessee leads the series 4-1. Former NFL quarterback Chad Pennington will be the featured speaker at the weekend’s Border Bowl banquet. Mersman and Daniel are the first DCHS players to be selected for the Border Bowl. Former Cougar Coach Anthony Crabtree, now the coach of state champion Beech, will coach the Tennessee wide receivers in the Border Bowl.
