The Clement Railroad Hotel Museum’s Music and Movies in the Park series will be relocating tonight to the War Memorial Building. With rain in the forecast and the 55th annual Old Timers Day Festival getting under way, tonight’s musical performances will follow the Ms. Old Timers Pageant and the Liars Contest, which begin at 6 pm. Admission to both events and the music series is free. The Ms. Old Timers Pageant will crown a successor to last year’s winner, Linda Springer. Local attorney Ben Regen and past winners Ben Carroll and Jerry Carey will co-host the annual Liars Contest with cash prizes for the best tale-tellers. The Music and Movies in the Park series will follow with unique bluegrass and country band Dipherent Rendition and local rockers Backroad Brigade performing. The series began two weeks ago at Holland Park and the museum, however the forecast of possible rain and preparations for tomorrow’s Old Timers Day festivities prompted the change to the War Memorial Building.
