Over 8,700 ballots cast in Dickson County as early voting comes to an end

Early voting ended yesterday and 8,711 Dickson County voters cast their ballots over the two-week period. The candidates are working the final days before election day rolls around Tuesday. Polls will be open 7 am-7 pm at the same precinct locations that were used in the August primary and county general election. Voters will need a current voter registration card and a valid photo ID when going to the polls Tuesday. The general election includes races for President, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives for the 5th District and Tennessee House of Representatives for the 69th or 78th district. Municipal elections are being held for voters in White Bluff, Burns, Vanleer and Slayden and Charlotte is holding a referendum on allowing retail liquor sales. Non-resident property owners in Charlotte who wish to vote in the referendum will do so at the District 1 polling place at the Collier House on the Courthouse Square. They must vote in all other races at their home precinct. WDKN and The One FM will have live election night returns starting when the polls close Tuesday at 7 pm. For information on Tuesday’s election, call the election office at 789-6021.
