Dickson police are seeking a couple from southwest Tennessee in connection with Tuesday night’s double shooting at a Dickson hotel. Det. Chad Fussell of the Dickson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division says in a statement that warrants have been obtained for Justin Keith Treece of Enville, Tenn., charging him with felony murder and attempted first-degree murder. The statement says police also want to talk to Treece’s girlfriend, Jessie Mulder of McNairy County, who is identified as a “person of interest.” Enville is a small town that straddles the McNairy-Chester county line in southwest Tennessee. Treece is wanted for the Tuesday night shooting that killed 29-year-old Matthew Draper and injured 23-year-old Cody Jackson, cousins both from Hartsville, Tenn. The statement says Treece and Mulder were last seen leaving the Holiday Inn Express off Highway 46 in Dickson in a red or maroon two-door Chevy Blazer with a spare tire mounted on the rear. The vehicle’s license plate is Tennessee tag 830-VSM. Treece is believed to be armed. Jackson remains in Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition. Police have not released a motive or what led to the shooting around 11:20 pm Tuesday or what, if any, connection there is between the cousins and Treece and Mulder. Police ask that anyone having contact with the couple contact their local law enforcement agency immediately and anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact Fussell at 441-9577.
