Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena CEO Jeff Cogen will be the guest speaker for the 10th annual Friends of Scouting patron luncheon next Thursday. The annual fund-raising event is designed to raise money to assist scouting programs in Dickson and the other counties of the Highland Rim District of Boy Scouts of America. The luncheon is at 11:45 Thursday at GreyStone Golf Club. Cogen was named CEO of the Predators in August 2010, having previously worked with the Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings and Florida Panthers of the NHL and Texas Rangers in Major League Baseball. He also previously worked with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. Cogen serves on the board of directors for the Middle Tennessee Council for Boy Scouts of America. The scouting program serves 1,200 youth and more than 200 adult volunteers in Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys and Cheatham counties. The Friends of Scouting luncheon is being hosted by John and Beth Marshall of Dickson and sponsored by TriStar Bank.
