It’s a wet start to the high school spring sports season as this morning’s rain threatens the first baseball and softball games of 2013. Today is scheduled to be the first games of the regular season for Dickson County baseball and softball and Creek Wood baseball. Creek Wood softball and both schools’ soccer teams are slated to open action tomorrow. In baseball, the Cougars are scheduled to host Spring Hill at 6:30 and the Red Hawks are to travel to Northeast for a 7:00 game. Lady Cougar softball is scheduled for two games at 5:30 and 7:00 in the Commando Classic at Hendersonville. The 5:30 contest against Wilson Central is scheduled to be broadcast on the RFC Sports Network as the launch of the spring season. While no official changes have been announced, all those games appear to be threatened by this morning’s rain. Creek Wood softball opens on the road tomorrow at Stewart County. Red Hawk soccer is scheduled at East Robertson and Cougar soccer is hosting Rossview.
