It took less than a minute for Ravenwood to post its first points of the night and the Raptors routed Dickson County 45-3 Thursday night in Brentwood. Ravenwood improved to 6-1 and remained tied with Franklin for first place in District 11-AAA at 3-0 after Franklin crushed Summit 49-12 Thursday. The Raptors and Rebels meet next week in a battle for the top spot. Dickson County falls to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the district after being held out of the end zone for the third time in four weeks. The Cougars managed only a Jacob Williams field goal in the second period. Ravenwood took only four plays to score on a six-yard run by quarterback Avery Jankowski. The big play came on a 55-yard run by Seth Rowland. On Ravenwood’s next possession, Chris Rowland scored on a two-yard run and the rout was on as the Raptors built a 35-0 lead in the first half. Jankowski completed 12 of 16 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Brothers Seth and Chris Rowland combined for 150 yards rushing and three scores. Dickson County will play its final home game of the season next week hosting Independence.
