Region basketball tournaments begin Friday and Saturday with games at DCHS, CWHS

Region basketball tournaments get under way tomorrow with girls’ games played on Friday and boys’ games on Saturday. All four Dickson County teams will host first-round games. Creek Wood’s Lady Red Hawks host Summit at 7 pm Friday. Dickson County’s Lady Cougars host Station Camp at 7 pm Friday. The Red Hawks host Fairview at 7:00 Saturday and the Cougars host Mount Juliet at 7:00 Saturday. The quarterfinal games are being played at the higher seeds’ home courts this weekend, then next week the tournaments will move to central locations for each region. The Region 6-AA Tournament is being hosted at Creek Wood, so the Red Hawks and Lady Red Hawks will remain at home if they advance to next week’s semifinals. The Region 5-AAA Tournament will move to Beech High School for the semifinals next week. The championship games also will be at Beech, unless no District 9 teams make it that far, then the final games could be switched to Rossview.
