Region volleyball tournaments start today: DCHS hosting, Creek Wood on the road

Region volleyball tournaments are today with Dickson County and Creek Wood in action. After winning the District 10-AAA tournament, the Lady Cougars will be hosting the Region 5 tournament. Dickson County takes on Mt. Juliet at 4 pm followed by Rossview and Portland at 5:30. The winners meet for the regional championship at 7 pm. Creek Wood finished as runner up in the District 11-AA tournament and will travel to Page High School for the Region 6 tournament. Creek Wood faces Page at 4:30 followed by Hickman County and Harpeth at 6:00. The winners battle for the crown at 7:30. The region tournament winners advance to the state sectionals set for Thursday.
